The Big Picture

We are ALL on some eternal road... which one are you on? Here are 5 things you must consider...

1. We are part of an eternal purpose set by God.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been

clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20

2. All men have sinned - all have fallen from God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

3. Fallen man is appointed for eternal death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal Life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

4. God has a plan to save us.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

5. You must make a decision to be saved.

That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from

the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth

that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

With this knowledge you are able to understand and receive the simple gospel message - God’s plan of salvation

for fallen man. Receiving God’s salvation is not complicated - God desires that everyone be saved. If you would

like to receive Jesus as your savior and sacrifice for your sins, pray this prayer:

" Dear God, I give you my life. Have mercy

on me and save me. I confess that I am a

sinner and that there is nothing I can do

to save myself. Jesus, I believe you are the

Son of God and that you died on the cross

for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins

and help me live my life from now on in a

way that pleases you. Thank you, Lord

Jesus, for saving me. Amen. "

If you just prayed and asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and asked him to be your savior, welcome to God’s

family. The Bible says: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to

become children of God. John 1 :12

Now, it is important that you make an effort to cultivate and nurture your relationship with God on a daily basis.

Be aware that your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Jesus, with His eternal understanding of mankind, gave us an indication of how the salvation message would be

received by people on earth.

We must be people who hear the word and understand it - we must be good soil and receive/retain the salvation

truth in our lives. Here are some things that you should do to care for and continue your relationship with God:

Get baptized as commanded by Jesus.

Tell someone else about your new faith in Jesus.

Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit

of praying to Him and reading His word. Ask God to increase your faith and understanding of the Bible.

Seek fellowship and friendship with other followers of Jesus.

Find a local church where you can worship God.
