Our years of experience will be beneficial to you and your building committee, as we

work together to create a building plan that is both beautiful and functional. As you begin

contemplating the vision that the Lord has given you regarding your new building, it is

essential to develop a list of needs/wants (program) for the components that will be a part

of the new building(s) and overall masterplan. The R. Messner Design Team will use this

specific list of needs/wants to help formulate a functional floorplan that is relevant to the

overall masterplan by analyzing and considering the square footage requirements and

placement/relationship requirements of each desired ministry area. We will also be able

to determine whether the square footage needed for your list of needs/wants lines up with

the budget, which may ultimately dictate the Phase-1 building square footage and future

phasing options.

Some of the key elements of your program list should include your desired number of seats in

sanctuary, number of classrooms, number of offices, etc. For reference, we have listed below

some of the main use-areas of a church that may be applicable to your project:
