Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church

We added on to the existing colonial-style building of Mt.

Pleasant Baptist Church by incorporating design elements of the

original building. We were able to create a subtle colonial yet

modern addition that compliments and even overshadows the less

appealing features of the existing facility. Valuable stained glass

was moved from the old building and installed in the new building.

The new stained glass windows are backlit to appear as if

they are exterior windows, when in fact, the space behind is

occupied by essential platform support areas. The chandeliers

in this traditional sanctuary are equipped with motors that allow

them to be lowered, enabling light bulbs to be changed easily.
