R. Messner Construction completes
Joyce Meyer Ministries headquarters
Wichita, Kan. - R. Messner Construction recently completed a new, cutting-edge
headquarters and office complex to house Joyce Meyer Ministries. The 148,000-
square-foot building will serve as a base for their worldwide ministries.
"We enjoy working with ministries that are dynamic, progressive, yet true to the
simple Gospel message," said Richard Messner, president. "Joyce Meyer has a special niche
in ministry and reaches a lot of people. It's been a blessing to work with her and her
husband, Dave Meyer."
This Fenton, Mo.-based complex fulfills a wide variety of functions. To serve the broadcast
ministry, it features a full TV studio, audio-recording studio and editing suites. The facility
includes a 35,000-square-foot distribution center with motorized loading docks, 400
computer/phone-data workstations, and a 400-seat chapel. To efficiently manage a
structure of this size, an energy management system, a state-of-the-art security system
and a generator back-up system were integrated into the design.
Richard and Ron Messner have been building some of the country's most innovative
and dynamic churches for the past 12 years. With company headquarters based in Wichita,
Kan., R. Messner has projects currently underway in cities across the country and in
Canada. The firm provides expertise in the areas of master site planning and design, value
